You spent a Sunday building a prototype in Lovable or v0. The interactions feel right, the UI looks shipped. Now what? Five steps to take it from prototype to a real site people pay you for.
From AI prototype to revenue in 5 steps
Step 1: Pick the platform you can actually ship on
Lovable and v0 are great prototyping tools. They are not great production hosts for long-term sites. The most stable path is to port to WordPress, Framer, or Webflow before you start collecting real users. See our Level Up to WordPress guides.
Step 2: Strip the prototype back to its core
AI prototypes are usually 30% real product and 70% scaffolding for the demo. Cut the demo content. Identify the one hero action a user does on this site. Build for that.
Step 3: Port the design, not the code
Most AI tools give you React + Tailwind. Most production hosts want HTML + CSS or WordPress blocks. Port the design system tokens (colors, type, spacing) and rebuild components in your production framework. It is faster than fighting AI-generated code to behave.
Step 4: Get the analytics and payment loop running
Before pretty, before launch, before social. Get Plausible or Fathom analytics connected. Get Stripe Checkout or Gumroad live. The only signal that matters is paid conversions.
Step 5: Get help if you stall
You will stall on step 3. Everyone stalls on step 3. We finish builds when you do.
