Ship Your Side Project in a Weekend: The 2026 Stack

Closed laptop with small plant and espresso cup in afternoon light

You have Saturday and Sunday. You want a live site with something to show on Monday. Here is the stack we would use and the trade-offs behind each pick.

The weekend stack

  • Prototype: Lovable or v0. Prompt-to-full-stack in one turn.
  • Design polish: Uizard for multi-screen flow, Magic Patterns for React components.
  • Hero imagery: Krea AI for realtime, Adobe Firefly for commercial-safe.
  • Analytics: Plausible ($9/mo). One line of script, zero cookie consent overhead.
  • Payment: Stripe Checkout or Gumroad. Do not build a custom cart.

Saturday morning

Prompt the whole app in Lovable. Not the marketing site, the actual product. Ship the prototype URL to five people you know will give honest feedback before lunch.

Saturday afternoon

Design the marketing site in Framer. One page. Hero, three feature blocks, pricing, waitlist form. That is enough.

Sunday

Wire Stripe or Gumroad. Add Plausible. Post the launch on X and Bluesky and email your list. Then close the laptop.

Monday

Watch the analytics. If people convert, keep going. If not, cut. Do not spend another weekend on a prototype that no one paid for on the first weekend.

The Tuesday morning shortlist

One editor pick, three tools to try, one to skip. Free. Sponsor-supported. One slot a week.
